2007 AGM minutes

LFB RMA PROPOSED EVENTS TO TAKE PLACE DURING 2008
Members wishing to attend any event should complete and return the slip to the General Secretary as soon as possible, some dates still have to be confirmed and costs will be confirmed nearer the date.

May. Dedication of the National Firefighters Memorial
Dedication by the Princess Royal of the National Firefighters Memorial, situated at the National Memorial Arboretum Staffordshire.
Price to include buffet lunch and coach: - cost £15 per person.

14th May. AGM & Reunion
To be held at Southwark from 2.30pm. Tickets for the Reunion £10, available from your Branch Secretary.

August. Lunch and Cruise on the River Thames.
Price to include a 3 course lunch with ½ bottle of wine per person while taking a 2 hour cruise on the river:

1st November Annual Dinner Dance
Royal Horseguards, Thistle Hotel Whitehall Place.
Price to include 4 Course meal and entertainment:

9th & 10th Remembrance Day Parade, Sunderland.
2nd largest Remembrance Day Parade in the UK, organized by Tyne & Wear FB
Price will include coach and one night B&B Hotel accommodation:

10th to 12th November 2009 Remembrance Day Trip to Ypres
I am unable to book a hotel for a trip in 2008
Price to include coach, entry fees to Cathedral & Museums and 2 nights B&B Hotel accommodation one evening meal in the Hotel: Estimated cost per person £150

6th June. Service of Remembrance
Held at Fireman’s Corner Highgate Cemetery
This is a small Service were families, friends and colleagues of LFB Firefighters who have been killed whilst on duty are remembered

14th September. National Memorial Service
Held at St Mary Le Bow Church & the Firefighters National Memorial Sermon Hill by St. Paul’s.

7th November. Service of Remembrance
Held at City Hall followed by refreshments in what is known as London’s Living Room on the top floor.
18th December. LFB Carol Service
Held this year at St. Paul’s Cathedral
